Hello, I'm Journeymouse, also known as Jo Thomas in the real world. Amongst other things, I dabble in genealogy, historical fencing and writing (see above).

Welcome to my Home Page, brought to you with the help of Mambo CMS and a cast of thousands.

I can also be found through Facebook [External Link] and Twitter [External Link]. Don't expect sensible comment.

I enjoy walking - just as well with a dog - and have been known to express an interest in wildlife (I used to want to be a nature reserve warden when I grew up, now I'm back to plan A - earning a living). Sometimes I even remember to take a camera with me. Some of these photos even make it to my Facebook profile and are publicly available. Please give credit, etc.

I play World of Warcraft [External Link], an online fantasy RPG. I can be found on the Skullcrusher server most Monday evenings. I'm part of the Horde and therefore a "bad guy" - playing orcs, trolls, tauren, blood elves and undead. I prefer tauren (moo-cows!) and my main is a tauren warrior called Journeymouse.

I occasionally play at blacksmithing with the help of Cold Hanworth Forge [External Link]. I may eventually end up with enough photos of my work to make it worthwhile starting a new section of the website.

I enjoy watching rugby, both union and league, but only really watch the union internationals. If I watched all the rugby I wanted, I'd never have time for anything else. Thanks to my welsh granpa, I cheer for the Welsh national team(s). But don't expect me to sing the anthem - I don't know the words!

As for work, I am now happily employed (yes, it's possible!) by the Waste Recycling Group [External Link] as a Leachate Technician.

The photo in the header was taken from the bathroom window of the house I grew up in. It's (now) in North Lincolnshire and is rather flat. Which makes for some bleak horizon shots. I would describe them as "nicely bleak" if it the words weren't, well, antonyms.

The photo in the footer (you mean you haven't got to the bottom, yet?) is one I took of Pen-Y-Ghent (in Yorkshire) several years ago. Look it up on Wikipedia [External Link] if you don't know what I'm talking about.

ASIDE: Although, the wikipedia entry neglects to mention that "Ghent" is usually translated as "border" - and incidentally is often changed to "Kent" in other names, like the Lancashire river and the southern county...

But, basically, I'm using it because I like it.
