Wigan I have information on several TABERNER lines from the Wigan area of Lancashire in my files. These lines are probably connected, but I have yet to find the common ancestors. The earliest date I have is in 1656. Leith Betty CHELL, nee TABERNER, is descended from a family that originally came from Leith, the port of Edinburgh, before settling in Marchington, Staffordshire.
