Using This Site

Sections

The menu options above show the four main sections of the site:

HOME - i.e. general information
GENEALOGY - my family hisotry interests and data
SWORDS - historical fencing and my training swords
WORDS - my writing projects

Selecting any of these options affects the menu options given on the left. Go on, give it a go!

Links

Links on this site work in the following way:

Menu bar links are internal and open in this window/tab.
Dark blue phrases in the main text work the same
Except for the links on "Useful Links" pages, as Mambo and I have a few disagreements, still! They work like:
Links displayed like this: [Link type] open in a new tab/window.

And please be aware that the examples given in this note do not work!

I have no family connections, but tell me: this website looks like it was constructed using Rapidweaver, which means you worked on an Apple Macintosh computer - am I right?
The reason I ask is because I have been trying to find a way of making up a website myself, but have an iMac and thus am rather constrained as to how to go about it.
Anyway, congratulations on the site, it looks great.

Hi Jeanette,

I built this site - or the prototype - in raw html. I then got hold of Mambo CMS (http://mambo-foundation.org/) and worked on the css template until it would display something like I wanted! Oh, and I use a PC :)
